5 Cities to Visit in Arabia

Shaped by its traditional Islamic culture, Saudi Arabia is a small corner of the world that offers an experience found in nowhere else. The tastes and traditions would make visiting this part of the Middle East, unforgettable. Not only is there a rich history, but there is also a vibrancy seen in its architecture, designed to be state of the art as well as impressive. It is no wonder that it is a growing hotspot. From Dubai to Manama, Barain, here are my top 5 list of places to visit in Saudi Arabia where you can easily make pleasant travel by booking cheap flights.

Dubai

Unlike Dubai’s oil-rich neighbors, the wealth that Dubai has accumulated historically has come to the city is a port. More recently, however, it is from the luxury tourist destinations they have built. Over the course of the years since 1960, Dubai had built impressive structures and hotels and in 1994 attracted as many as 1 million tourists. One luxury hotel is the Jumeirah Beach hotel which is a remarkable hotel that overlooks the Arabian Gulf.  Adding to their metropolitan luxury hotels is the Burj Al Arab which stands taller than the Eiffel Tower at 321 meters tall. Built on the largest man-made island in the world, this iconic hotel is accessible through a bridge road 340 meters long. Being a tax-free city Dubai’s shopping scene has attracted both locals and foreigners alike where you’re sure to find a bargain.

Salalah, Oman

Known for its Moon Festival where the whole city turns green, this city attracts tourists. Agriculturally, there is a lot marvel at. Located in the Dhofar Governorate in southern Oman, the city is surrounded by mountains that turn green with dazzling waterfalls during the Khareef season. Among other scenic places to visit is the Al Mughsail Beach that has beautiful white sands and crystal clear waters and Sultan Qaboos Mosque one of the most famous Mosques in Oman.

Doha, Qatar

If Dubai was the heavyweight of tourism, then Doha is an up and coming contender. Being in the richest country in the world, Dohar is a desert metropolis that boasts five-star hotels, and enormous malls which are increasingly appearing. Shopping in Doha is just as much as an experience as it is in Dubai as they have adapted the, “bigger is better” mentality, making retail serious business but if shopping is not your cup of tea, then you can buy a ticket to watch camel racing, a sport which is known as one of Sheiks.

Kuwait City, Kuwait

Kuwait is a mixture of chic Western-style hotels, beautifully designed shopping malls, traditional Islamic architecture, street markets, and even still war-torn buildings. The symbol of the city is the steel painted Kuwait Towers which features a viewing platform and restaurant looking out over Kuwait. To learn about Bedouin culture, you could visit the Sadu House. You could also shop for handmade crafts and fabrics.

Manama, Barain

Since antiquity, Manama has been the center of major trade routes. In their national museum you would find artifacts from the ancient Dilmun civilization that blossomed in the region for a thousand years. You would be sure to find wares from colorful handwoven fabrics and spices to pearls offered by thriving Bab el-Bahrain Souq’s.

Arabia has done well for itself over the years and has taken the necessary measures in order to ensure that its visitors not only feel welcomed but also have a once in a lifetime experience. From metropolitan Dubai to the peaceful mountains of Salalah in Oman, your only concern should be to book cheap flights with Air Arabia.
