A couple months ago, I had the opportunity to watch a new documentary titled GO FAR: The Christopher Rush Story. This was one of the best documentaries that I’ve ever seen (& I’ve seen a lot) and the film inspired me beyond belief. The movie will be available to purchase starting June 2nd, 2015!
GO FAR tells the story of Christopher Rush, a former MDA National Goodwill Ambassador from 1983-1984. Christopher was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (the same type of MD that I have), but didn’t let it stop him from enjoying life. He ate jelly beans with President Ronald Reagan in the Oval Office of the White House, graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, and even became the first quadriplegic in the United States to become a licensed scuba diver. While these accomplishments are astounding, perhaps the greatest legacy that Christopher left was the GO FAR motivational program. It’s a series of steps that can help guide people who want to achieve their goals despite the obstacles in front of them. GO FAR stands for:
Goals – setting them is what makes life worthwhile
Obstacles – recognize and face them
Focus – prioritize and plan your approach
Act – assert yourself
Review – whatever the results, learn from the experience
The film shows how Christopher Rush really lived up to each of these motives.
Starting on June 2nd, the film will be streaming exclusively on Yekra. Yekra is a digital platform and you can purchase and view the film by clicking here or just click the photo below! A 72 hour rental is only $4.99 and a full download is just $14.99.
If you are looking to be inspired, watch GO FAR. I promise that you will absolutely love this movie.
